Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons salt–reduced soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- 500 g (1 lb) green beans, trimmed and halved
Preparation
- Put the garlic, ginger, soy sauce and sugar in a small bowl and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Blanch the green beans in a saucepan of boiling water with a pinch of salt, for 3 minutes, or until tender but still a little crisp.
- Drain well, then toss with the soy sauce dressing and serve immediately.
